Anthonia

Anthonia discovered her calling in caregiving after helping her mother recover from a stroke in Nigeria. Watching her mother grow stronger each day gave Anthonia a deep sense of purpose, and she knew she wanted to bring that same care to others. She moved to the United States and earned her CNA certification, building over five years of hands-on experience across hospital ICUs, skilled nursing facilities, and private homes. Anthonia is skilled in all aspects of daily living assistance, from bathing and dressing to transfers using Hoyer lifts, stand machines, and gait belts. She also handles vital signs monitoring, meal preparation, and medication reminders with confidence. She is currently pursuing her RN through a nursing program at Santa Ana College, driven by a desire to deepen her clinical knowledge and expand the care she can provide. Anthonia brings a warm, family-centered approach to every case. She believes that building trust with a client's loved ones is just as important as caring for the client, and she makes it a point to become a trusted part of each household she works with. Her experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care has given her a calm, steady presence during sundowning episodes and moments of agitation, and she knows how to redirect and comfort clients through difficult moments. Outside of work, Anthonia enjoys reading, listening to music, dancing, and staying active at the gym.
