Maria

Maria came to caregiving the way many do in Brazil, where looking after family is simply what you do. But for her, it became something more. After moving to the United States, she built a career around the same instinct, spending the better part of seven years caring for older adults in private homes. She has worked with clients navigating dementia, diabetes, and physical disabilities, and she brings a steady, quiet presence that families notice right away. Most of her experience has been in private care, where she’s had the kind of close, sustained relationships with families that agency work rarely allows. Maria is a CNA with additional training as a Medication Technician, and she continues to pursue new learning about the conditions her clients face. She is trilingual in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, which allows her to connect with a wider range of families and clients. Outside of work, she finds her center through her faith, cooking for the people she loves, and getting to the gym. She is the kind of caregiver who leads with warmth and patience, and who believes that good care starts with truly listening.
