About Trina
Trina grew up in caregiving before she ever chose it as a career. Her family owned one of the first residential homes in the area, and as a girl she spent her time bringing snacks to the residents while her aunts, all nurses, did their work. She earned her CNA at 18 and spent the next decade at Riverside Community Hospital, rotating through departments that most private caregivers never see: five years on the MedSurg and kidney transplant floor caring for neutropenic and reverse isolation patients, and five years in radiology and transport services supporting cardiac stress testing and cath lab coordination. She later worked acute care at St. Bernardine and Loma Linda Medical Centers, where she prepared patients for surgery, monitored chest tubes and JP drains, and managed care across high-acuity settings. What drives Trina is something she will tell you plainly: it is not the quantity of life that matters, but the quality. She believes in protecting the dignity of every person she cares for and in helping them stay as independent as possible. In her most recent role, she spent nearly two years as a live-in caregiver for a private family, providing one-on-one personal care, mobility assistance, companionship, and monitoring changes in her client's condition. She is currently completing nursing school. When she is not working, Trina enjoys international travel, reading, and spending time outdoors.
