D'Juan

D’Juan began his healthcare career in 2003 and earned his LVN shortly after, going on to spend nearly two decades as a nurse across some of San Diego’s most respected hospitals. At Scripps La Jolla, he worked in mother and baby, neonatal care, and the operating room before leading a specialty clinic in allergy and immunology, where management named him LVN of the Year. Throughout it all, he built a parallel career in private duty home care, providing one-on-one support to clients in their own homes for 19 years and counting. That combination of clinical depth and personal, hands-on caregiving is rare, and it shapes how D’Juan approaches every client he works with. What sets D’Juan apart is how naturally he connects with people. He is warm, direct, and genuinely curious about the individuals he cares for. Whether he is helping with daily living, monitoring a complex health condition, or simply being a steady presence in the home, he brings the same focus: treat the whole person, not just the task list. He has supported clients across a wide range of needs, from post-operative recovery and hospice care to cognitive and physical disabilities. Outside of work, D’Juan is a devoted football fan, a self-described social butterfly, and a father of three who recharges with gaming, cars, and travel.
